“ We got lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There's an order window for to-go & then you wait to be seated if you'd like to eat there. They only have outdoor seating & they're dog friendly. We ordered the hummus & grilled chicken plate, french fries with the garlic dip. The fries are big enough to share & I love the seasoning they use. The hummus & grilled chicken feels like a light meal and is delicious. Parking- street parking ”

It was a bit chilly (we arrived at 9pm) but thankfully the business had heaters to keep us warm. Definitely a cute spot to catch up with friends and eat really good food! ”

My favorite items on the menu are the "Fried Chicken Shawarma Sandwich" and the "Hummus and Fried Chicken Plate," depending on how hungry I am. Regardless, their food is consistently tasty and so good! Their Arnold Palmer is great, refreshing and not too sweet. The staff is always nice and friendly, and the outdoor seating area is laid-back and cozy. Lines and wait times can get pretty long, but the food makes it worth it! Parking can be tricky to find, but there are options around, including in the neighborhood. Personally, I walk here from home, so parking has never been an issue for me. Give this place a try if you're looking for something new and unique! ”
“ Dune is a small restaurant located in Atwater Village offering a modern spin on Mediterranean cuisine, providing excellent food, good service, good vibes, and great value. After a short wait Saturday afternoon we each started with a Cardamom Cold Brew ($6) which was a light, refreshing, and slightly sweetened with oat milk and a cinnamon simple syrup. I had the Hummus & Fried Chicken Plate ($22); the Fried Chicken was excellent, moist, and topped with a delicious tahini and charmoula sauce. Accompanying it was a flatbread which was delicious, if slightly dry, topped with olive oil and spices. Flanking these two were a series of greens, olives, and sumac dill rice. Beneath all of these was a light, creamy hummus worthy of immersing the chicken and bread into, broken only by a welcome bite of pine nuts. My friend had the Hummus & Lamb Plate ($22), which was essentially identical except with several flavorful pieces of lamb which was slightly dry but otherwise delicious. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, made excellent recommendations, and introduced us to the (new) seating arrangement; rather than ordering from the window, one is seated by the server much like a traditional restaurant. Seating is outdoor only, with tables, chairs, and umbrellas along one end of a T-intersection. It is easy to forget, however, that you are sitting on the street, due to an abundance of greenery shielding you from the bustle of Glendale Blvd. For its small location as a lunch-focused establishment, Dune really makes the most of the footprint it has. The value for food quality is good, perhaps excellent, and appropriate for the location. “ I love Dune the movie and this Mediterranean spot located in the Atwater Village area. Their fried chicken blew my mind away! Glendale Avenue has many restaurants and small niche stores, but Dune caught my eye based on the fantastic reviews. They have a window to order food, with plenty of outdoor seating and trash cans. The cashier was very helpful in answering questions about my order. I was hesitant because I was wasn't too hungry, but I ordered the Hummus & Fried Chicken Plate. The chicken didn't have too much batter or oil. It wasn't too heavy on my stomach, and I enjoyed it so much. I ordered the sauces on the side, but the spicy Tahini sauce was excellent. The meal came with house flatbread, which was very filling, pickled turnips/radishes, marinated cabbage & onions, greens, and dill rice. The portions were huge, and the service was excellent; you can't get much better than that. The hummus was buried deep in the food, but I wish they had put more rice on the plate. I paired my meal with their Hibiscus Lemonade, which was as sweet and sour as it should be! I'm 100% coming back if I'm in the area. ”
